Ubicada en Portocolom en una zona residencial, cerca del Faro, en un pintoresco pueblo costero del municipio de Felanitx. Situada a menos de un minuto de las playas de S’Arenal, donde se ubican dos chiringuitos de playa dotados de todos los servicios. Nuestra casa se encuentra a 700 metros del pueblo , pudiéndose desplazar en coche, en bicicleta, o simplemente dando un paseo por la zona peatonal.

26 junio 2023 at 17 h 26 minWe have just returned from 11 nights at this wonderful house, overlooking the beautiful harbour of Porto Colom. Es Niu’s location is the jewel in its crown – we passed many lazy hours unwinding as we watched the jet skis, yachts, Mallorcan fishing boats and other sea travellers scooting along the harbour – free entertainment to boot! The nearby El Arenal beach and the Blue Bar chiringuito are also a bonus – just a few minutes’ walk away. My husband and I have been coming to Porto Colom for 40+ and 30+years respectively – it never loses its appeal and offers a more authentic Mallorcan escape from the busier mass tourist resorts. Maria, the agent, was super friendly, welcoming and helpful from initial booking through to our last day, allowing us to rest on the terrace outside while awaiting our late afternoon departure. We have no hesitation in recommending Es Niu to anyone looking for a relaxing Mediterranean break — fabuloso!

Spectacular sea/harbour views, direct access to the warm Mediterranean and a pleasant walk (30 minutes) to the facilities of Portocolom, which is a charming town. We stayed for 11 nights in October and enjoyed lovely weather, swimming, paddle-boarding, sun-bathing and al fresco dining. We ate very well but would particularly recommend Sa Llotja for a special meal out. We intend to make a return trip when we can.

Fancy a swim or a SUP-tour (extra) right after getting up before breakfast or just enjoy a great view on the bay of Portocolom (including sundowner)? Then this is the perfect place to go & stay. Even if you don’t like entering the water via a swimming ladder embedded in the rock, it’s only a very short walk to the beach. We were very fortunate to be able to spend 6 nights end of September 21 which happened to be very sunny.

This was one of the best AirBnb stays we have had. My first 5/5 review ever. The service and communication was fantastic from beginning to end; the location is the best in Portocolom which is, IMO, one of the best places to stay on the entire island. You have a view of every boat coming and going, direct swimming access, and two great beaches (and beach restaurants) a block away. I emphasize value: I don’t mean to suggest this apartment is brand new or immaculate. It is a real apartment that is sublet when not in use – the original purpose for AirBnb. So it has it’s quirks, but it also has everything: fully stocked kitchen, plenty of furniture inside and out, washing machine, and tons of supplies. It really helps to live in a real place when renting for an extended period like we did. It felt like we owned the place – even more so when none of the other units were occupied while we were there. But the real value are the views: it is like renting a five-story building: on the ground floor you climb directly into the water; the first floor has our favorite extended private patio that almost sticks out over the water, perfect for sunset happy hours just above the waves; 2nd floor is the main living area and outdoor dining terrace, 3rd floor(s) are the bedrooms (also with views); and the top floor is the loft with sleeping, TV and a terrific deck for a birds-eye view of the bay. I don’t know another AirBnb in this price range with so many different indoor/outdoor living spaces. They are not huge or glamorous (thank goodness), but they are all super comfortable. A special shout-out as well for being pet-friendly (our dog loved it as much as we did) and for the window screens and air-conditioners in the main rooms – absolutely a must in Mallorca. Thank you for making such a fun place available for others to share!

We had a great time in this house, staying four weeks with a family of two adults and one child, and will come back! The house was clean and well equipped to have a pleasant holiday. The hosts were really helpful from the very beginning of our stay and gave us information on restaurants, shopping and everything else we needed. The location of the house is great for daily excursions to the two nearby beautiful beaches (5 min walking distance) and with a rental car shopping is easy to handle at the Eroski supermarket in the centre of Portocolom. Given that the main terrace is facing south-west, we could observe every evening a very nice sunset together with the boats that were coming and going in the natural harbour of Portocolom. Moreover, for good swimmers there is a direct access to the sea via a small ladder installed between the rocks. Overall, we can really recommend this house and the very nice hosts.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Es Nui! The photos of the house are not exaggerated, it is right on the bay of Portocolom, and we loved watching the boats and ships going in and out of the harbor or jumping into the water just a few meters from the house. The house is small but lovely, and we were lucky to be the only ones in the set of terraced houses at this site. Maria is the perfect host, always available and quick to answer any questions we had. We will return!
